Rail terminal

Three rail terminals

Venlo currently has  three terminals.
The largest inland rail terminal in the Netherlands is located in Trade Port Noord. This terminal covers a total of 28 hectares and includes eight nine hundred meter tracks. The terminal has a maximum capacity of 800,000 TEU per year and can load and unload up to 12 trains per day. This improves the connection with the Port of Rotterdam on the one side and with Central Europe and Asia on the other side through its connection to the One Belt and One Road Initiative (BRI). This is just one more development with which Trade Port Noord establishes itself as a leading logistics hub.
Because one train has the same capacity as 56 fully loades trucks, the new rail terminal in the region relieves road traffic in particular and thus also reduces CO2 emissions.
