Connections to major ports

Situated next to the Meuse river, Venlo is easily accessible by water. Two good shipping connections with the major ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp are available via the TCT Venlo barge terminal and the Inland Terminal Venray in Wanssum. The barge terminals have a large capacity: 80,000 twenty-foot containers (TEU) can be transhipped in Venlo and 140,000 TEU in Wanssum. There are plans to expand the capacity in Venlo.
